MEXICO, 1949
Born in Mexico City and studied Spanish Literature at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma of Mexico. Editor and writer. His fiction is situated within humoristic melodrama and the aesthetics of Mexican cinematography of the mid-twentieth century. Until 2012 he was Coordinator of Cultural Diffusion at UNAM.
In 2011 he won the Xavier Villaurrutia Award for the essay Geografía de la ilusión (Geography of illusion) and the novel Ensayo sobre la ilusión (Essay on illusion).
