PLANETA – CASA DE AMÉRICA LITERARY AWARD 2007
CHILDREN’S LITERATURE NATIONAL PRIZE OF ARGENTINA 2012
Pablo De Santis is a literature graduate, writer, journalist and comicstrip writer. His work has been very well-received by reading public and critics alike. His ideal novel is one in which the reader should not feel disappointed, where, beyond all the complications, something is consummated and a good ending functions as narrative closure and as an opening up to interpretation.
He has been awarded the Planeta / Casa de América 2007 prize for his novel The Paris Enigma; the National Culture Prize in the Children’s Literature category in 2012 for The Labyrinth Game; the Argentine Children’s and Young Adult Literature Association (ALIJA) Prize -illustrated album category- for The new student ( 2021); and the Esteban Echeverría Prize in the Narrative category (2022).
«De Santis’s literature ranks me as one of its supporters
since long time ago. (…) De Santis is gifted with
an incredible intelligence and fantasy.»
