The boxer's shadow

NOVEL. LA OTRA ORILLA, 2008. 162 PAGES.

A story of three obsessions: a boxer who longs to face again the only opponent who ever defeated him; an undeniable, practically forbidden love; and three children trying to get to know their father better. The action unfolds against the backdrop of the Argentina of the 1970s. In the foreground is a family and a pair of spinster aunts (inseparable rivals like the two boxers) who treasure a fabulous watch, a not-so-mute witness to events.
