Illustrated by Francisco Cunha.
Could witches really exist? Do they hide somewhere and only come out at night? Do they have black cats and broomsticks? Do they make potions and laugh loudly? Or is it all just part of legends and stories? And, most importantly, do we want them to exist?
The main character in this story is a curious and attentive girl, perceptive and innocent, who is certain of one thing: she has never seen one. And while visiting her grandmother’s house, which is located right where the city ends and the countryside begins, she keeps her eyes and senses wide open.
Could there be a witch near her grandmother’s house, who is a little magical, a little mysterious, and with whom she loves to spend time? I’ve Never Seen a Witch is a tender story about childhood myths-and not so much-about nature, about ancestral knowledge, and about the desire to look at everyday things with wonder.
The book ends with a game that invites readers to ask themselves and find out if they have ever seen a witch.
