As we grow up, we have new experiences: we make friends, discover love and also fear; we understand that not everyone thinks the same way. And so we go out in search of answers to questions that help us understand how the world works.
Galeano traveled to many places and met many interesting people. As he was a keen observer, he drew ideas and reflections from each encounter, which he then poured into his writing. He was interested in many things: memory, love, friendship, soccer, politics, fears, and, of course, freedom.
